Resenha: Bad Religion – True North (2013) - Epitaph (Fev/2013)

Bom começo de ano, um Bad Religion fresquinho, é sempre uma noticia animadora, massss... lembrei dos últimos trabalhos que não fizeram vibrar como os antigos sons. Que será que íamos encontrar nesse novo play???

LP True North - Bad Religion

Clico o play e vamos que vamos...

True North abre e nomeia o disco, mas como foi divulgada um pouco antes do lançamento, já conhecia e já tinha passado pelo, meu “malvado” crivo, um som bem dinâmico, forte e na velocidade certa pro BR e dita a pegada do disco.

Na primeira audição inteira, Fuck You, já pula na frente e é um hit básico de cantar em show e tirar o povo da inércia, o hit máster do disco.

Escutando mais, vão se destacando: Robin Hood in Reverse(definitivamente minha predileta do disco), Land of Endless Greed, Drarma and the Bomb(com muitas nuances de Agent Orange, ficou demais e com Brett Gurewitz, nos vocais) e Nothing To Dismay.  

Um disco que fica fácil um dos Top 5 do Bad Religion, e assim nem tenho de perder tempo de dizer que é Discoteca Básica.

Coisinha interessantes:

A produção do álbum ficou nas mãos do guitarrista Brett Gurewitz e de Joe Barresi (Melvins, Queens of the Stone Age, Pennywise)

Esse é o clip oficial de True North, que é demais e mostra o “caminho” pra molecada, repare os detalhes old School, que já mais devem ser esquecidos, a vontade de tocar e mostrar sua rebeldia, não só no seu visual, mas como nas idéias refletidas pelo seu som e (pra mim) a preocupação de se focar no sistema como inimigo e não naqueles que lutam ao seu lado, mas usam caminhos diferentes.
